I wanna have a Growth Mindset

After reading about the Growth Mindset, I’m getting a better understanding on where I have been programmed to think/react with a fixed mindset. Perhaps, I didn’t have a way to explain it when I was younger but now I do. I saw myself as somebody who always needed to receive help, or that I was not good enough to understand a new concept the first time. A was a product of an environment of fixed mindsets during my adolescence.
Over the past 6 years I do realize that I’ve been surrounded by people with a growth mindset as they have shown me that my failures were actually opportunities and that the idea I had about myself was incorrect. I only needed a different environment.
Taking over an Engineering Club two years ago was the stage to share this type of environment, especially because I did not know anything about robotics, coding or 3-D design. There was no curriculum or guidelines. The main resource I had was time. Two weeks to go online and find out as much as I could to implement with my students ( but needed to be free).

Now that I’m learning more about the growth mindset. I do realize that there is a way to create this environment in a more effective way. I read some of the post in the discussions and there was an idea that I really enjoyed. Maybe provide the example of what type of behavior or phrases fall under a growth mindset and which ones fall under a fixed mindset.

When we talk about the why, how and what I can say that all of them are equally important but I rather start for the why because that will be the spark to stars the process.
