"Education is not an affair of ‘telling’ or being told, but an active and constructive process".

-Dewey, N.d.

During my journey at Lamar University Course EDLD 5305, Disruptive Innovation in Education.  I was challenged to create an Innovation Proposal that will allow students to have choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning. These past eight weeks in EDLD 5305, I have been working on essential pieces that support this proposal with the guidance of Dr. Harapnuik. I propose to solidify an Engineering Class for Central Middle School at Galveston ISD. To make this possible, I will use an existing Engineering Club that meets two times a week after school and work with our students to develop a curriculum for this class. Please review this page’s information to have more details on how this proposal can benefit our students.
