“The great aim of education is not knowledge, but action.”

– Herbert Spencer

During my journey at Lamar University Course EDLD 5302, Concepts of Educational Technology. Dr. Susan Bedard challenged me to auto evaluate the type of mindset I have been using for 30 years. This made me reevaluate the approach I use to new ideas and some of the things we do automatically as educators. The Growth Mindset is essential to implement my Innovation Proposal to allow students to have choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning. How can we prepare our students for an unknown future when we do not change our thinking?

As I continue my learning, I discovered My Learning Manifesto, which is my statement declaring my perceptions, beliefs, experiences, challenges, and goals in Public Education. In addition to this, I put together more information about the combination of primary resources to keep me updated, informed, and constantly pushing my thinking.

All these components are driving my thinking and keeping my focus. There is a lot to do and many changes to make. Please review this page’s information to know how these components can transform your thinking and benefit our students.
